Money Does Not Make You Happier. This Article Is a Lie: The minimum salary you need to be happy in each state.

The minimum salary you need to be happy in each state.

A cursory glance though the above article showed roughly $90k to about $130k for all states. According to data from 2018, the latest release, the median household income is $61,891. Notice, this number indicates "household" income. Presumably that means 2 incomes, as most people are married or living with a spouse/lover. The number of kids a family might have would be of huge importance based on additional costs and the usual expenses. Minimum age is still $7.25 an hour...and has not been raised for about 10 years. (Yes, congress gives themselves a raise every single year.)

Minimum wage annual income would be $15, 080.

The so called "poverty level" in America is

1 person household is $12,49

2 person household is $16,910

3 person household is $21,330

So, if we were to believe this article....about 99% of all Americans are miserable...due to not having enough money to meet the range quoted state by state to be "happy".

I've had money and I've not had money.

(Right now I have about...$1.27 I think, lol.)

Sending quality time with friends and family, working out, being creative, being a good steward of the land, water and planet, advocating for those without a voice, for those that are disenfranchised, reading, writing, working out, going jogging and to the gym, playing with my cats and dogs, sex, spending time with my husband, cooking, eating, and a plethora of other examples like that are what makes me happy. Sure, money can make life easier from the standpoint of less stress, having financial security, less worry and important details like that, but some of the happiest people I've ever known are on the low, sometimes very, very low end of the income spectrum.

My point?

Articles like this are are similar to "body shaming" articles that might make one feel bad about themselves because the reader is comparing themselves to some heavily Photo-shopped photos, done by a professional photographer, with state of the art equipment, lights, camera, filters, and so on. "Money shaming" or poverty shaming, or simply using faulty made-up "statistics" about income needed to be "happy" is just wrong. Its not mentally healthy to compare oneself to professional cover models or for people to do any sort of body shaming (with the exception of me mocking limp dicked useless cuckolds of course....giggles at self) and the same should apply to articles like this. :)

I've voted Republican and Democrat (I'm an Independent)...yet the daily shame one feels from Trumps words and actions and that of the spineless GOP "leadership" is a soul sucking embarrassment. Its not, for me, a partisan issue, its a human issue, and an American issue.

Remember those that conducted themselves with grace, class, style, humility, and put others before themselves and were not greedily only self serving?

Remember "Do Unto Others as You would have Others Do Unto You"?

Remember pride?

Dignity?

The pride and dignity that stemmed from our ability, and willingness, to take care of others?

To help those around the world that suffered from living under despots, or were trying to survive natural disasters, earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis? And in a bygone era to use our military, as a last resort only, to fight Fascism, Nazism, the 'Rising Sun" and other evil insane dictators, mass murderers, those that engaged in genocide, and the oppression and deaths of millions of people?

Remember the survivors of the Great Depression?

World War I?

World War II?

The "Greatest Generation"?

Remember "Family Values"?

Mom, Dad, kids, grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, friends and family?

Christmas or Hanukkah?

Thanksgiving with your relatives?

Watching football games after everyone overfed themselves on Moms cooking?

Remember wanting to leave the world a better place?

For your children and grandchildren?

We used to befriend, rescue, save, assist and help those of other religions. Even if we didn't worship, understand or even agree with those religions or their practitioners.

We used to rescue the oppressed, the downtrodden, the impoverished from cages.

Now we put them in cages.

What happened?

What does anything that Trump does, or has ever done, that he says, or has ever said, that represents anything that is or ever was good in, or about the Republican party? He is 100% opposite of anything and everything that was even remotely something that Republicans used to stand for...and is now aligned with everything the GOP used to stand against.

I don't get it.

What happened to honor, integrity, ethics and honesty?

I know for a fact that deep inside the heads and hearts, the majority of Republicans detest this current version of the GOP, and while the freak sideshow may have been somewhat amusing, in reality, they too have a loathing for this born rich, never worked a day in his life, 6 times bankrupt, draft dodging, pansy ass buffoon....but most don't want to step out of the crowd, don't want to be the first to take a stand and admit to themselves and their party, that Trump has nothing to do with anything that is, was or ever could be "great" about the GOP or America. This is not about Democrats or partisan politics...its about you, the GOP voters, owing yourselves, and deserving something, better than this.

1990 Ford Econoline Conversion...and Other Stuff. :)

I came across this photo series randomly and am really impressed with what she did with it. Yes, it was a woman that did the renovation on the van. It has all sorts of "hidden" conveniences and utilitarian aspects. Like the end tables pop out and double as cutting boards. Secrete storage, pop up tables on the inside of the doors and so on. She really put a lot of thought into maximizing every square inch. I mean it truly looks cozy and comfortable, even more so than many homes. Not that I have any wanderlust desires to go live in an RV, of any type or size, as I prefer a home built on a foundation that is buried in the dirt.

Unless...perhaps if it was a Cross Country Colossal Cuckolding Caravan. :)
