  1. I've just read an article that puts forth the theory that if bad things happen, and they have throughout history, GOOD things spring forth in order to combat the negative. So I guess it just depends on the outlook of someone. Having been shot by an assassin, Lincoln might beg to feel some 'pain' is too much, but generally it's been a good thing. It has taken someone to challenge the sanctity of Democracy in order for positive things such as these and people to FINALLY react. to the imbalances and difficulties other people have to endure, whether these difficulties occur because of gender, skin colour, whether one is a recent immigrant or not; the list is endless. Yes; change is happening, and it IS uncomfortable, but it was/is SORELY needed.
