The Newseum is closing down after 12 years in Washington.

The interactive museum will officially close to the public due to financial difficulties.

This is no good...yet it is indicative of our time. When we more than ever need educated people, we desperately need ethical journalists, responsible reporters, an unbiased media, to expose truth on the lies of politicians, a whole museum dedicated to the industry is closing due to lack of interest.

  1. Actually, in a town surrounded by FREE museums, the Newseum charged roughly $15 for admission. Hmmm. Take my family to the Smithsonian Museum of Native American History (for free) or spend $90 on admission to see the Newseum. Let me see.... Which should I choose?!?

    1. Some/most museums are federally funded or subsidized. Others have to charge admission or their doors are closed.

  4. The number of people who watch Fox news is a good indicator of our society's lack of interest in an educated media.

    1. Spot on. Also a good indicator of their lack of interest in facts, science, logic, history...common sense etc. :)
