Men are increasingly getting a raw deal in our society. From the insane screams of "toxic masculinity", to the statistics showing men are most likely to be homeless, most likely to commit suicide, likely to serve longer prison sentences for a like-crime to what women would serve, percentage wise less men are attending college, for a couple decades, at least, male blue collar workers lost their jobs (yes, many females as well), fathers are getting shafted by the courts on divorce and child custody issues...and a plethora of other examples, things are a mess all around.
The #MeToo movement has been huge, and largely with merit. However, some seem to be myopic when it comes to this topic. Accusations of women sexually harassing men are dismissed with jeers, rolling of the eyes, and an attitude that the accuser should "Man Up". Along the same vein, if one looks at the miles long list of hot young female teachers having sexual relations with their students, its easy to see a double standard of what pedophilia and rape is when women engage in it, as opposed to when men are. These are crimes, and all should be taken seriously...equally.
The transsexual, transvestite and/or cross-dressing movement has been building for a few years now and its growing at least a modicum of acceptance in some quarters. However, jokes about women wearing pants don't exist, jokes about men wearing skirts are abound. It appears that something like a "megakagillion people (yea, I made that word up) like watching lesbian porn, that girl on girl action, while talking about being open minded and accepting, but many of those same people display revulsion if its bisexual men, or gay men, getting freaky on that TV or computer screen.
Sadly, far too women in the USA right now are 2 issue voters...abortion and glass ceiling issues and not much else seems to matter. Right now special interest groups, groups focused on women's issues, (and race, culture, etc) are scurrying around trying to gain favor for their own group, rather than trying to elevate humanity at large with true equality and fairness...and yes I'm talking to you my fellow "feminist sisters". Its your fathers, brothers, sons and husbands that are being marginalized by all this. Sure, men, especially white men, dominated the planet for centuries and did horrible things, and those grievances are legit. But beating men down, allowing them to fall behind, being apathetic to this shift in power, economics, education and health is not "justice" for the wrongs of the past, its just shallow petty vindictiveness and should be beneath us....just like how sexually, men should also be beneath us. Male, female, whoever and wherever you are on the gender scale...be who you are. :)
