I think this is really fantastic. As the author states, men have societal pressure on "looks" as well as we do. And I think in some ways its worse (for everyone) than it ever has been. The crushing amount of media ads we are undated with on daily basis where everyone is born-rich, born-pretty and have fantastic lives makes most people feel they are lacking. 

Of course the reality is that its.....made up for TV. :)
