Someone e-mailed me with questions about being sexually dominant and also being shy, quiet and introverted. I don't think being dominant, submissive, a switch etc...has anything to do with what was described. Some people are introverts, some people are extroverts, some people sort of tend to switch back and forth, but that doesn't have any bearing on their sexual interests, persuasions or preferences.

 Some people equate being introverted or shy with social anxiety. A lot of anxiety can be from upbringing, it can also be exacerbated by diet, fatigue, medications, daily stress, medical issues, chemical imbalances, obviously for some people it can be due to PTSD and I'm sure there are a myriad of other reasons, and in some cases a combination of many. But if someone wants to...say, for example, tie someone up, beat them with a paddle and then grind on their face...that's not influenced or connected to someones nervousness in public speaking, or maybe having agoraphobia, or just not liking certain social situations. I think people should follow their nature and interests, their desires and fantasies, and they should do what they want, what turns them on, press forward, find a person (or people) that they meld with...and enjoy their life. 

On another level, people do what so many of the rest of us do or have done, meaning overanalyzing things. We live in a messed up repressive society when it comes to anything sexual, more so anything alternative sexually where being thought of as a freak, a pervert, and regret, self-loathing, remorse, guilt and so on are prevalent, based on lies and myths that defy a human beings true nature. No one else can fix whatever happens within your life, relationships, marriage or whatever, but at least try to not beat yourself down for having urges that are totally normal, and seek inner peace with being how you are.  

For myself, without kink, without that passion, the "heat", that spark, that take your breath away feeling...I'd rather just read a book. Yes, regular sex is fine sometimes, rarely, it still exists in my life, but so many people today place more value on "quantity" instead of "quality" so they're missing that crucial component. Having multiple partners or doing some sort of kink related thing daily is not high on my list. Having worthy experiences, memorable ones, fantastic earthquake, fireworks, explosive events, means far more to me than just having a high body count or engaging in anything and everything kink related, as if I have some sort of list to check boxes on.

What I Do Not Miss About Fetlife, Kink Forums and Social Media.

Not sure why I thought of this earlier, but, one thing that baffled me when I was still associated with those sorts of sites, was when certain people would endlessly call every post a "wank post". Okay. So even if they were...why would that be bad or wrong? 

I mean, that's what erotica is. It's the point of all salacious stories, porn, everything from Playboy to hardcore skin magazines of yesteryear...the old style Pinup photos, all are/were done to arouse and entice and to get someone off. That's also what some Rom-Coms are, and 50 Shades of Grey, both the books and movies. That's what soft-porn is for, sexual arousal, no matter if its history or fiction, or a combination of both.

 That's what erotic cave drawings, made a gazillion years ago were for. 

It's probable that someone tried to send some sort of erotic message through smoke signals, or on a SOS machine, and maybe (privately) NASA allowed astronauts wives to send them some "wank fodder" when they were on the Apollo missions. The moment the written word was invented, someone wrote out some smut. 

Every type of camera, tintype, daguerreotype, cameras that made slideshows, Polaroids, 8MM, video,  digital cameras, webcams, text message, sexting...you name it and humankind has used it in some way to arouse, get off, beat off, slap off, whack off and whatever other terms one might use. 

So really, someone accusing others of that, makes as much sense as someone saying: 

People only go to restaurants to eat. 

Yeah. And? 

Or saying people only go to the movies to be entertained. 

Yep, that's the point. 

Or accusing someone of going to a sports event because they...like sports. 

It makes no sense, and sort of clues one in on the fact that a person making this claim, simply does not understand forums, sex sites, social media, the Internet, or human sexuality. Far too many people just sit on the sidelines, waiting for others to post something, then attack or critique it and the author, which is one of the reasons I just deleted all social media months or years ago...and don't miss it. For those that post something, somewhere, that have a blog, that initiate conversations or post stories on forums, you are fucking awesome and are doubly so, if you just ignore the trolling trolls who troll for a lack of anything better to do. Now then, anyone can feel free to masturbate while reading this missive I just wrote as it could be, may be, just might be...a wank post, lol.  :)
