Several of the writers at "Psychology Today" appear to have a bit of a cuckold fetish. Actually, more than just "appear" as, beyond the fact that the website has an inordinate number of articles pertaining to that topic, one of their writers, who also wrote a book on it, interviewed me at length for the same book. And I can say that interest went beyond just "professional" in more ways than one.
But, relating to this last piece of antiquated patriarchally slanted bit of fluff...for the love of all Holy Blue Balls, this guy could not be more wrong. Witness, the following paragraph: For example, ensuring reproductive success in their offspring from mating with men with superior genes to their current partner, or acquiring extra benefits such as gifts or status by liaising with more resourceful men.
This is just a bunch of bloviating excessive verbiage to basically call us...gold digging whores. So my already rather low opinion of the ethically questionable, and "medically" legitimate business of "psychology" just took a nose dive even more.
And the "study" they reference as "proof" of their assertions, could be picked apart by a 5th grader. For example: In all of the experiments, the researchers found that perception of disease had an effect on women’s desire for variety in their sexual partners.
When you read between the lines, you can easily ascertain they had no control group, no peer reviewing, no structure to the study and the questions were stacked to try to prove the biased conclusions they were seeking, its one seriously shady "study" and they should be both mocked and embarrassed for using it. No accounting for other factors were mentioned. Factors such as age, health, poverty, education, religious upbringing, number of children already in existence, culture, options as far as travel of relocation, access to medical care, healthcare, potable water, food, and on and on.
Bottom line is, the whole article is presented as we only have sex for reproduction, like a machine, a brood mare, we're just mindless vaginas willing to bounce on cock for the sole purpose of making babies. Wanton lust, love, attraction, affection, horny hormones, desire for a good hard pounding, the entire sphere of what makes women desire sex, all of that was disregarded... which proves that we're viewed, by them, as baby making machines, reproductive chattel, and nothing else. What psychobabble nonsense. :)
