Nabi Tajima, who was born on August 4, 1900, has passed away of old age in a hospital in southern Japan, at the age of 117 years old.
Imagine...when she was born, most people did not have indoor plumbing, electricity, obviously no cars, no airplanes, she was roughly a teenager when the Titanic sank, lived through both world wars, man went to the moon, polio vaccination was discovered, computer's were invented, and on and on.
Simply amazing. :)
