The wanna-be hard-ass mucho, massive, macho, megalomaniacal, majestically manly guys on TV that want to arm teachers, are some Neanderthal fuckwits.
If the secret service, highly trained professional bodyguards, can't stop someone from shooting the president, what the hell is a teacher supposed to do? Teachers teach, they are not assassins or bodyguards. Some of my teachers were like 110 years old, half blind, with shaky hands.
And while we're at it, I swear, the people at Fox News are so fucking stupid...I wonder who dresses them in the morning. The invective and nonsense they spew is embarrassing.
This is what a child's life is supposed to be like.
The "adults" in our nation are really, really letting them down.

Maybe these geniuses should ask teachers if they want to carry weapons and be trained as security guards. Gun idiots think everyone wants to live in the wild west, or in a prison, just so they can have and play with all their toys.

Just found out today that the last school shootings armed security guard...basically hid outside. So..there's always that. :)
