FSC Scores Major Legal Victory in 2257 Record Keeping Case. (Might want to read this.)

This might not mean much to some people, but during the horrible Bush years we had a bat guano religious fruitcake fundamentalist Attorney General named John Ashcroft, who being opposed to all things porn (and breasts, more on that in a minute) decided to try to shut down the entire adult industry. The short version is they took an existing law that protected photographers and videographers from using underage models, (which the porn industry supported) made changes to the law so complicated, they hoped no one could comply with it, and would just stop making porn. At one point there was a debate if adult cartoons were subjected to 2257 until someone pointed out to the brain-dead morons that cartoons don't have birth certificates.

But, some ballsy Americans, some who enjoyed porn, and others that don't, but still did *not* want to live under a theocracy or fascist rule and actually value the 1st Amendment and the rest of the Constitution (and not just pretend they do while saying "Thankuforyourservice" and "ThroughtsAndPrayers" and "GodBlessMurica" and other equally vacuous empty fake patriotic jingoistic blather) decided to fight back.

Flash forward, and after about a decade and a half, a gabillion (that's right...a gabillion) dollars spent by adult film companies and webmasters for lawyers, plus the hicktillion (again, you read that correctly, lol) wasted by government lawyers, innumerable court challenges, rulings, appeals by the government after decisions...it appears it might be over.

John Ashcroft is the guy who is so offended by nudity and breasts, he:

Interestingly enough when equally bat guano religious fruitcake fundamentalist crazy Attorney General Edwin Meese produced the so called "Meese Report" on porn, he stood in front of the bare tits, the nude boobies, while talking about how bad "nudity" was for society. By the way, the Meese Report conclusion was that, while they could find no actual evidence that porn was bad for society...they, in their religious wisdom, were still against it.

Opps...how did these get here?  :)
