  When the "people" made the Internet, they hoped it would be a way for the masses to have access to information. If you think about it, pretty much the totality of human knowledge is available online. Everything from ancient (and now extinct) languages, to astrophysics, how to build a canoe, science, technology, gluten free recipes and so on are accessible to the majority of people on the planet. That the same people spend most of their time looking at cat memes and buttsex porn...is another story. :)  

  But, and as is often the case, its been hijacked by corporatists wanting to make several more billions. As an example, earlier today I tapped Santa Fe into Bing, and was surprised and disappointed to find that the first page of search results was not about "Santa Fe" the city, but rather "Santa Fe" which apparently some car has the same name. Santa Fe the city, is the oldest continuously inhabited capital city in the USA. It has eons of history, culture, unique music, language, dance, cuisine, Native American jewelry, is internationally known, is probably one of the highest per capita cities for having gazillionares, movie stars, Opera, and so forth, but rather than it being the first "hit" from search engines...it goes to the gross commercialization of business wanting to sell you...a fucking car. Its so disgusting.

Tired of Running in Place, Young Chinese ‘Lie Down’. 

“Why try hard when you can just skate by?” mentality embraced by some young people has not been enthusiastically received in official circles. We're seeing this on a global scale. Its a total shift of priorities, values, interests, on how people are wanting to live their lives. Chasing money for more material possessions...working 50, 60, 90 hours a week, for garbage wages, getting nowhere, is rapidly becoming a thing of the past...or what I'll call "Boomer" culture. Its not the 1950s to the 1990s anymore, and the ability to work hard and come out ahead, is largely gone. So instead of fighting it...people are saying "Fuck it" and adopting a new view of what's important in their lives. And I have to say...good for them. :)

I hope everyone is doing well. Living life, as best as can be done in this challenging and chaotic time, trying to maintain health and sanity. There's been a lot of stress and pressure. Do your own thing, live your own life, at your own pace, set your own parameters. Don't worry about living up to other peoples standards or expectations. Do whatever you need to do to take stress off yourself. Deal with anxiety, boredom, past traumas in ways that benefit *you* and not whatever is the suggested therapy/shrink/pharma drug popular of the moment. Take care of yourself. Engage in activities that you enjoy that are beneficial mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally and seek peace in this life. No matter how old we are, we're still young, because we will all be older tomorrow, next week, and a year from now, so we still have time to look forward to. Be kind to yourself, be happy and be who you are.  :)

People bitch about the police a lot, for good reason. Here's an example of what police *should* be in the news for...not for violating civil rights and murdering people. People should keep in mind, the police only do what they are *allowed* to do, by the people, and our politicians. The whole "Defund the Police" is a misnomer. What they mean is "Reallocation of Police Funds" or how and where we spend our tax dollars. If we spend more on education, healthcare, baseball and soccer parks, band, the arts and social programs that help, kids do better, they grow up to be productive adults, we spend less on cops and prisons. Being proactive is *always* smarter and more beneficial for society, than being hyper reactive *after* the fact.
